Gratitude

I am not a lucky person. I am blessed, but not lucky; those are two different things. And the truth be told I prefer the latter. I mean who needs easy prizes when you have been been granted the clarity of vision to see what you have to be grateful for and the openness of heart to embrace it.

Every morning I do a bit of a gratitude dance and count at least five thing I have to be grateful for. It circulates between such things as thank you for my health and the health of friends and family to thank you for my fabulous cats or beautiful home. I have an especially big gratitude for finding an instrument of which I have a life time to discover and an eternal sense of wonder for. And I am grateful for this passion that fuels the expansive nature of my pursuits and wets my appetite for the gifts each person has to offer.
